Safaris West is more than just a business—it’s a reflection of the life I’ve lived and the passions that have shaped me. My name is Cameron Kidd, and I call Raleigh, North Carolina home, where I live with my wife, Meghan, and our four children. Meghan and I have been married for 19 years, and through it all—family, faith, and the call of wild places—I have been fortunate to chase adventure across continents. Hunting has never been just about pulling the trigger; it’s about the pursuit, the challenge, and the deep respect for the land and the game. It’s about the friendships forged around campfires, the lessons learned in the quiet moments of a long tracking day, and the stories that live on long after the dust settles.
Safaris West is my way of sharing those experiences and helping others find their own path into the heart of Africa. I have been blessed beyond measure to hunt some of the most untamed places on earth, standing in the shadows of giants and feeling the weight of history in the silence before the shot. My goal is to pass that on—to guide others toward the kind of safari that lingers in the soul. Whether it’s the wide-open floodplains of Tanzania with Kilombero North Safaris or the rugged, game-rich wilderness of Botswana, Zimbabwe, or Zambia with The Safaris of Graham Jones, I help hunters find the right outfitter, the right country, and the right experience to match their dreams.
