Mr. Spots
The African Leopard, regal in all his ways perched atop his treetop throne does not ask for respect, he simply demands it. A quarry unlike any other, evicting an anxiousness in those who pursue him as seems to poured out anywhere he roams like tawny fluid melting up and down trees with the ease of spotted water. His ability to magically appear upon a limb in which you have watched for hours in desperation and hope of a sighting is only surpassed by his ability to disappear twice as fast at the report of a rifle; leaving behind only a guttural growl and a knot in the stomach of those who have to follow him……
Maasai
The smirk says it all. Although young, his years of bush warn experience leaves him skeptical of all the unfamiliar gadgets hanging from ourselves. The gadgets we claim to use to accomplish the same means that his people, with great success I might add, have accomplished by using only the sharpened iron held firmly in his ebony grip. The bright red of his adorned garb displaying to all on the outside the bravery that he proudly wears daily on the inside. Weather worn and keen eyed, this young Maasai warrior is destined for a life amongst the bush that his people have called home for hundreds of years. I’m sure our paths are destined to cross again, and we will likely receive the same inquisitive smirk…..
